Formula 1 Stats: How It Works
Formula 1 Stats is a live dashboard for the current F1 season. All data comes directly from official race results and updates automatically. Everything you see reflects the season as it has played out so far.
Tips for Getting Around
Start with Next Race if you're new. It gives you a quick snapshot of what is coming up and who is expected to perform well.
Follow a driver by signing in and saving them in the My Drivers tab. You'll get a personalized view of their stats and upcoming race outlook.
Use the tabs in order when you want depth. Next Race and Drivers give the big picture; Qualifying, Pace, and Form give the detail behind it.
Hover over charts to see exact values. Most charts are interactive and show a tooltip on hover.
Switch themes using the toggle in the top-right corner. The dashboard works in both dark and light mode.
If data does not load, refresh the page. The API that powers the data is occasionally slow. If you're on Safari, try disabling content blockers for this site or switching to Chrome or Firefox.
Predictions lock before qualifying, so submit yours early. Once locked you can still see your prediction but cannot change it.
The model prediction and your prediction are separate. The model on the Next Race tab is automatic; your personal prediction is what you submit in My Predictions.
The Tabs
Live. Real-time race tracking during a Grand Prix: running order, tyre compounds, last-lap times, gaps between cars, and race-control flags, plus a live "championship if it finished now" projection. Between sessions it shows the weekend schedule and a countdown to the next session.
Next Race. A preview of the upcoming Grand Prix. Shows the circuit layout, key track stats, and a predicted finishing order with win and podium percentages for each driver. This is a model-based estimate, not a guarantee.
Drivers. Season standings, points, wins, podiums, and DNFs for every driver, plus a full season results grid and each driver's race-by-race history.
Driver Score. Season ratings for the driver-and-car package. Each driver gets an overall score (OVR) plus six attributes on a radar chart: Qualifying, Race Pace, Overtaking, Consistency, Tyre Management, and Teammate Head-to-Head. You can compare any two drivers side by side. These rate the driver-and-car package this season only, not career or raw talent.
Constructors. The same view for teams: combined points, wins, and reliability for both cars.
Sprint. Stats from Sprint weekends only — a separate points tally for these short Saturday races.
Qualifying. Average qualifying position, best and worst performances, and grid-position trends across the season.
Pace. Lap-time consistency, race pace, and how each driver performs across different circuit types.
Form & Trends. Recent momentum — who is improving, who is struggling, and how results have shifted over the last few races.
Track Stats. Historical performance at the upcoming circuit — which drivers and teams tend to do well there.
Car Specs. All eleven cars plotted on the Aero vs. Power axis. Aero-dominant cars thrive on twisty circuits; power-dominant ones are faster on high-speed straights.
My Drivers. Sign in to save favorite drivers and get a personalized view of their stats, form, and next-race outlook.
My Predictions. Submit your predicted finishing order for each race, get scored automatically, and climb the global leaderboard.
The Prediction Model
The predicted finishing order combines qualifying pace, car performance, track-type fit, recent form, race execution, circuit history, reliability, and demonstrated pace — weighted toward current-season car speed rather than historical reputation.
Data Source
All race results and standings are pulled from the Jolpica/Ergast F1 API. If the page fails to load, the API may be temporarily unavailable; refreshing usually resolves it.
